Product Information Benjamin Hand Pump The Benjamin Hand pump utilizes a unique triple chamber system that generates air pressure on both the up and down strokes of the pumping action. It is capable of generating a maximum 3600 PSI and includes a female,foster, quick-disconnect fitting on the end of the supplied hose. An integral gauge and moisture/particulate filter is included with each pump. Also, this pump can be adapted to mate-up with other PCP guns other than the Benjamin Discovery or Challenger, by changing the hose assembly. Technical Data (from owner's manual): #1 Attach the hose to the gun via the quick-release coupling. #2 Close the pump bleed screw on the base of the pump by turning the screw clockwise. #3 Pump to fill the air resevoir up to the recommended operating pressure of the gun. #4 Open the pump bleed screw to relieve the pressure in the hose( the cylinder will not lose any significant pressure upon doing so) and the excess air will vent from the small port next to the bleed screw. At this point the gauge on the pump will read zero pressure. #5 Disconnect the hose at this point, if and only if the pressure reading on the gauge reads zero. Crosman has found it will take approximately 110 strokes to reach 2000psi, if the pump and seals are in perfect working order. To reach 3000psi it will require considerable more pump strokes.
