Product Information Air Arms TX200 Hunter Carbine RH Walnut .22 Cal The Air Arms TX200 Hunter Carbine is one of the finest spring-piston air rifles available today, with shooting characteristics very much unlike a typical spring powered gun. Built to stand alongside the venerable HW97K, this British "springer " boasts an extensive following of shooters all over the world and many championship titles in it's category. Renowned for it's incredible accuracy, apparent absence of vibration during the shot cycle and very low report, this carbine model of the TX200 proves to be an excellent gun at the range or in the field. Air Arms really put some thought into the design of their underlever models. From the excellent CD trigger system, which is a true 2-stage adjustable for both length of pull and weight of pull, a bearing supported piston system, which enables a cocking cycle of superior feel, and ergonomically pleasing stock designs that lend themselves wonderfully to scope use, the TX has proven to be a worthy competitor for the proven, German made 97K. The list of refinements doesn't end there, the TX also has a butter smooth anti-beartrap machined into the breech cover with pivoting button release, an 11mm scope rail , and the reason for such great accuracy? Air Arms contracted the finest barrel makers in Germany to build their custom 9" bores - none other than Lothar Walther. All in all, the TX200 Hunter Carbine is powerful, very accurate and a pleasure to own and shoot. The reason we give this rifle such a glowing report is due to the fact that we've been shooting and hunting with them for many years as we were the original Canadian importers over a decade ago. The Hunter Carbine generates 730-740 fps with a lightweight .22 pellet and weighs in at a hefty 8.5 lbs. The cocking effort is approx. 34 lbs and the rifle is just over 38 " in overall length.
