Daystate Air Wolf MCT Karbine .22 40 ft lbs
Product Information Daystate Air Wolf MCT Karbine .22Cal ... the most advanced PCP on the planet. The Air Wolf MCT Karbine... the ultimate in high-tech air rifles that features the very latest in on-board refinements to make it easier than ever to achieve great shooting results. The MCT pulse beating at the heart of the Air Wolf action generates a lock-time - the period between the squeeze of the trigger and the pellet’s acceleration along the barrel - that’s up to five times faster than a conventional, mechanically-driven PCP. Additionally, the shot-to-shot consistency is effectively digitally-regulated courtesy of the MCT’s sophisticated electronic monitoring system. Whilst the phenomenally-fast firing cycle makes it easy to get outstanding down-range results, the Air Wolf is backed by numerous other accuracy enhancing features, from an electronically-operated, fully-adjustable two-stage trigger that has no mechanical sear to a target-grade barrel that free-floats in the stock. This latest version of Daystate’s highly popular hunting and Hunter Field Target competition rifle now contains significant upgrades on former Air Wolf models. It includes Daystate’s patented Map Compensated Technology as well as a new LCD information screen to keep you informed on the exact status of your rifle. Battery power for the electrical system is delivered courtesy of a Ni-MH (Nickel-metal Hydride) rechargeable battery that provides enough power for thousands of shots. (Battery charger supplied.) Internally, the Air Wolf MCT now features a new Harper Patent valve system ( the most advanced air control available) for increased efficiency as well as a market-leading shot capacity. Supplied as a full size rifle model, in a high-power version. Also included is the 10 shot magazine and single shot loading tray. The ambidextrous thumbhole stock fitted to the Air Wolf is made in Italy by world renowned stockmaker, Minelli, and incorporates only the finest, selected Turkish walnut. The Air Wolf MCT will be supplied with the 500cc bottle and in .22 generates 40ft lbs of energy with 60 full power, close to identical velocity shots from a single fill. Daystate minimum requirements for accuracy testing indicate that the Air Wolf be capable of no larger than 11mm ctc grouping with quality pellets, thats close to 3/8" of an inch at a full 25 meters. The Daystate Air Wolf weighs 8 lbs, 4ounces without scope and measures out at only 35.75 " in length. The quality German barrel is 17" and does not include any shroud or silencer. Our independent tests of the Air Wolf MCT in .22 and 40 ft lbs show much more impressive results than the factory minimum tolerances. The JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy in 18.1 grains and the HW Magnum in 21.1 grains were found to be two of the most accurate pellet choices when carefully shot off the bench with the forearm of the rifle supported and the rear of the stock cradled between the palms of the hands. A slight rearward balancing of the rifle was preferred to steady the hold and remove all tremors. The scope was also carefully aligned to the target for elimination of reticle cant by scribing a cross with a felt marker and straightedge onto the target face, which allows easy calibration between scope and target. Once ready, it was no problem to obtain 4.5mm CTC 3 shot groupings with both the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.1 gr pellet and HW Magnum 21.1 gr pellet. Both pellets produced ragged holes on the target which was placed at 30 yards. The HW Magnum pellet was also chronographed for velocity and kinetic energy with the following results; a 4 shot string looked like this; 881.883.876.881. The average velocity equalled 880.25 fps with a deviation of only 7 fps. The energy numbers were equally impressive with the rifle generating 36.54 foot pounds with the HW Magnum pellet. THE DAYSTATE GREAT EIGHT The Daystate Air Wolf allows you to customise the following functions: 1. Magazine counter reset. This gives a bleep after the 10th shot is fired, telling you the magazine needs to be reloaded/replaced. 2. Reset the overall shot counter. This lets you see how many shots your rifle has fired since the last reset, say when it was re-charged with air. 3. Active pressure. This gives you a readout on the pressure in the air reservoir, and updates itself after every shot or every temperature-induced fluctuation. This system is so sensitive that heat from placing your hand on the buddy-bottle causes the reading to change. 4.Power settings. The Air Wof MCT can be set at one of two power settings, the high setting is 40 ft lbs and +/-60 shots per fill, or the middle setting which is 30 ft lbs and +/-85 shots per fill. 5. Safety-catch settings. This lets you turn on/off the red l.e.d. in the safety catch. 6. Magazine counter. Spookily, this counts the number of magazines you’ve shot your way through. 7. Single shot mode. This is recommended for competition use, and requires you to reset the safety catch between shots. 8. Pressure warning. This causes the rifle to blow a little electronic raspberry when its internal pressure reaches a preset level, so you can re-charge before you run out. 9. Default reset. This is the MCT get out of jail free card, which resets the rifle’s system to its factory default, should you wish to wipe the slate clean and start again. This function also displays the firmware code, so you know which version your rifle is running.
